Amy & Barrett

We had the most amazing evening at Michener Park here in Red Deer for Amy and Barrett’s fall engagement session! I am constantly blown away by the beautiful fall colours this time of year and getting to know this sweet couple made for a perfect evening!

We weren’t sure we were going to have much of a sunset glow with the cooler, cloudy weather all day. But as the sun began to set it peeked out at the perfect time for some glowy portraits right at the very end.

Michener Park is by far one of my favourite spots for a fall engagement session in all of Red Deer! The trees and ponds are so stunning with all kinds of foliage for lots of foreground/background views! The light is perfect almost all year round. And it truly has a little bit of everything you could ever want for your engagement photos.

As we headed over to the Michener Hill overlook to end the night with some glowy sunset formals I got to capture Amy’s stunning engagement ring! Barrett did a great job with this one! It was such a dream to photograph and adding some fall leaves to help tie it all together really made it pop! This part of the session was by far my favourite part of the evening and where we really started to get some of myfavourite portraits!

It was so great to get to know Amy and Barrett! We got to talk lots about their wedding day plans for next summer at The Big Red Barn in Lacombe which is one of my favourite places to shoot! I can’t wait to celebrate their special day with their friends and family and hope you all enjoy this sneak peek into their engagement session!
