A River Valley Wedding

It brings me SO much joy to be able to share this amazing wedding day with you! Kalista and Tristans wedding was on August 4, 2022 at River Valley Wedding Venue just outside of Blackfalds, Alberta. Not only was this my very first time shooting at such a stunning venue, but it was also this venues very first year in business!

To say River Valley Wedding Venue has created a beautiful venue would be an understatement!! They truly have thought of EVERYTHING a bride and a photographer could ever desire on a wedding day. It was such an honour to capture Kalista and Tristan’s wedding at River Valley.

When I first arrived I was immediately greeted by Kalista’s mom who gave me a bit of a tour, along with a bit of a play by play of the day which was so helpful! I then went up to the bridal suite where Kalista and her gals were all getting ready.

As I walked into the bridal suite at River Valley, the photographer in me was BLOWN AWAY at just how stunning this room was! You really have to see it to believe it! I was SO excited to see Kalista and see how stunning she looked on this special day! I couldn’t wait to get started with her bridal details.

Kalista’s beautiful bouquets were provided by the amazing Travis at Calyx Floral Design! She always does such a stunning job at creating unique and high quality floral arrangements. I was thrilled to be able to capture so many get bouquet shots to fill their wedding gallery!

Although the day called for storms on and off, Kalista was so calm and wasn’t going to let the fear of a storm hold back her joy on her wedding day. And can I just say that not only did the rain hold off for us, but the storm clouds made for some of the most epic ceremony/bridal party portraits I’ve ever seen!

We also had the sun peek out at the most perfect time creating some of my favourite images of the day! I love when I yell “STOP THE CAR” in the middle of the road because I found glow! If you know me, you know I’ve just gotta have my glow!
