This sweet couples engagement session was one for the books! I had dreams of photographing them walking along the Blindman River in a beautiful summer evenings glow. But mother nature had plans of her own when it came to the beauty of this engagement session…

We knew we had a good chance of a thunderstorm the evening of their session but little did we know that it would be as crazy as it was and leave us hiding in their car for the first 30 mins of their session. I always tell my couples that their engagement session is a time for me to get to know them! The photos are just a nice a bonus but the most important part of the engagement session is for them to feel comfortable in front of the camera and get to know me before the big day.

Well luckily for us, we had the chance to REALLY get to know one another and talk all things wedding plans in their car as we hid from the crazy storm that we weren’t exactly sure would let up anytime soon.

As I checked the radar every 5 mins to see which direction the storm was moving and how fast I got to learn all about this sweet couple and their story. It was such a gift and I am so incredible excited to be able to capture their wedding day.

Thankfully the storm did eventually let up and the sun came out with its “after storm” type glow and we captured some of my favourite photos in a stunning field! If you know me you know I have a heart for overgrown grassy fields that we can walk through. This location never disappoints for me and I was so grateful we were able to capture all these amazing shots AND get to know one another on a level I don’t normally get to have.

Kaylin and Logan’s 2024 Big Red Barn wedding will be absolutely amazing! And I am so excited they picked me to help them capture their love story.
