It was such a perfect evening for this Sylvan Lake Engagement Session! And boy was it full of precious surprises! Normally when I shoot in Sylvan Lake, we typically do lake view locations. But Jess and Jordan were wanting a quieter more, intimate feel to their engagement photos. We decided to meet up at a brand new spot I had never been before but very quickly fell in love with!

As we walked along this new path, stopping at each glowy tree I could see, Jess brought up that she and Jordan had just gotten a puppy the night before!! A cute little 7 week old Aussie Doodle was down the road at their house!! I said right away that we were ABSOLUTELY going to be getting some shots with their sweet new addition!

After we finished up at this location, we decided to go and grab sweet little Ruby for her big photo debut! IT WAS CUTENESS OVERLOAD! Ruby immediately STOLE THE SHOW! What was originally Jess and Jordan’s Engagement Session, quickly became The Ruby Show and I loved every minute of it!

I often get asked “Can we bring our dog/puppy to our engagement session?” My answer is always YES!! I absolutely love capturing animals and the relationship we have with them. Even after just a few hours you can tell these two and completely smitten with their new addition!

I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day at Hilltop Wedding Centre at the end of July!
