I was so incredibly excited when I looked at the forecast for the first time in months to see DOUBLE DIGITS for Friday! Chelsea and Austin had ordered the most perfect weather for their spring engagement session!

They had travelled all the way down from Edmonton to meet me down at Michener Park in Red Deer, AB. This is one of my favourite locations for a spring engagement session(or any season really!)

Before we even started shooting I knew we were in for great night! Whenever a session begins with joking and laughter right off the bat it’s a great sign, and that is exactly how our night started.

I always tell my couples that the first 20 minutes in front of the camera might feel a little awkward, but after that they will get used to it and start to feel way more comfortable. Well not even 5 minutes in, these two were absolute pros in front of the camera! Austin even pulled out his best Zoolander model face for me which was great!

What a joy these two are! The laughter and fun we had is exactly why I love engagement sessions! It gave us all the chance to get to know each other before the big wedding day so that they will feel like pros from the moment I arrive. AND I will arrive as a friend instead of just a stranger on their wedding day which is always a bonus!

I can’t wait to celebrate with Chelsea and Austin at their Edmonton wedding day in June as they kick off my 2023 wedding season!
